Our son, Isaac, is almost one year old. Seriously. It seems that when you have a newborn baby, you aren’t getting any sleep, and you don’t know what day of the week it is let alone the actual date, that people like to tell new parents things like:
“Treasure each day because time flies so fast and before you know it they’ll be graduating high school…”
As a new parent with a newborn, it was tough to resist the temptation to give them the bird (Just kidding people). The first month home with Isaac seemed like one giant, long, and sleepless day. Mary and I were exhausted, all of the time. Don’t get me wrong, we loved our little man, but we were tired.
Now in just 11 days our little Isaac will be turning one. One whole year has gone by since his mother laughed him out of the womb (Literally). He is a walking, talking (still quite unintelligible), laughing (He lives up to his name every day!) little man.
It seems as if all we did was blink. We went from no sleep and holding our newborn ever so gently (always making sure to support the neck) to chasing him around the house with him giggling or making the “Hulk Face”, in a matter of moments. Short moments.
It is true indeed that they grow up so darn fast. Good thing I have literally thousands of picture/videos of every moment from birth on…
FYI…this reflection has made me feel older…and not necessarily wiser. ;)
Blessings,
Cameron

Well this morning we’ll be sending my mom, Jeff, and Colby off to head back home to California. They got here on Monday and we have had lots of good times, lots of sightseeing, and a fair amount of eating. It’s been great visiting and Isaac sure had a blast visiting with his grandma. Here’s to hoping we can visit again soon.
Well as you may know this is the last season of Lost, the show about the survivors of a plane crash on a remote island in the South Pacific. 5 years ago my wife and I started watching the show and we really liked it. I’ve spent time on a remote island in the South Pacific so I was instantly very interested. Then we got Lost watching Lost, with all the twists and turns…so we quit watching after the second season.
Several weeks ago my wife saw the commercials for the last season and insisted that we watch it. However, in order for is to do that we needed to get caught up on the other seasons. Enter Netflix with the watch instantly feature and we have begun the process of catching up.
We are in the middle of season 4 and once again find ourselves lost watching Lost. There are so many questions and so few answers. Now my biggest question is why I am wasting time watching this again? Because like the rest of you I am hoping for answers…
Happy Friday to you all. Seems like this has been a long week….and well it has. One week down of morning workouts has me a little tired but in general feeling pretty darn good. Have some family coming into town next week that we haven’t seen in quite awhile so I am taking next week sort of off. Basically I’ll do what needs to be done but not worry much about anything else.
On the home front, I can’t believe how big Isaac is getting. They really do grow fast! Won’t be long and I will be teaching him how to drive. Depressing thought…
Also, we should be getting a dog soon. Our friends, the Park’s, are leaving for the East Coast soon and are not able to take the Jack Russell Terrier with them. So we have agreed to provide a new home for her.
On another subject, I am really bad with paperwork. It is mounting and most of it has deadlines attached. Like the application for RCC, I need to get that done soon. Hopefully this weekend.
Anyway, have a good weekend people.
Blessings,
Cameron
Well today’s workout went fine…no easier but I think I am growing used to the pain! Felt pretty good by the time I got home but then I started feeling tired and sluggish the rest of the day. Did a support call for some folks in California and then met with a buddy for lunch.
How was your day?
Blessings
The Saints won the Superbowl…well deserved and a great game. Watched it over at the Warner house with some football appropriate snacks and yes…lots of water. After all, I do have a meeting with the Priest of Pain tomorrow.
Speaking of which…off to bed. Tomorrow is the first weigh in so we shall see how it goes. No expectations though since I’m only on workout number two.
Blessings
